ABOUT Dennis Quin:
Bass driven, groove catching house music with a twist. That’s the best way to describe Dennis Quin’s sound. Quin’s trademark is the effective combination of raw analogue elements with an irresistible rhythmic drive. In addition to being a highly successful solo producer, Quin is Hardsoul’s co-producer and works with Roog (Hardsoul) on their collaboration projects.
This dedicated artist works with some top-level producers such as Low Steppa, the legendary Todd Terry and has become a highly renowned artist on labels like Get Twisted Records in his own right.
Dennis Quin is a real house fanatic from the early days, focussed on bringing the combination of style and energetic sounds into his productions. He has the ability to enrich today’s vogue with timeless elements from the past.
Quin was bitten by the early house bug in 1993. His rookie days consisted of buying and spinning vinyl records. He had a musical upbringing too, playing the piano at age 15, essential in his development as a fully-fledged artist today.
Quin’s trademark sound features a strong drive which in turn has great impact on the dancefloor. However, everything he spins and releases always retains an abundance of musicality.
Despite the fact that he is relatively new to production (Quin only started in the studio in 2011), he is fully focussed on presenting a truly unique sound in 2016. The ability to produce raw sounds with old-school elements, and placing classic analogue sounds alongside modern digital synth sounds, is an unquestionable key to his success.
As a DJ Dennis consistently presents a real show behind the decks, both physically and aurally. His sets all contain those key goose bumps inducing moments that make it all worthwhile. Enjoyment and interaction with the crowd is unquestionably his forte. He creatively combines his specially crafted edits and live addition of looping and using additional acapellas, seamlessly merged with his own productions and conscientiously selected tunes thus taking the Quin vibe to another level.
